Biography:

Tatiana Samouil, Belgian by adoption and Russian-Moldovan by origin, has a multifaceted career: she plays as a soloist with the most prestigious orchestras, participates in festivals as a chamber musician all over the world and is a renowned teacher. Born in St. Petersburg, Tatiana studied in Moldova and then continued in Moscow; after meeting the legendary Igor Oistrakh, she became his student at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels and moved to Belgium. Winner of 7 of the most famous international competitions (such as the Queen Elisabeth, the Tchaikovsky and the Sibelius…) she is regularly invited as a member of the jury of the Queen Elisabeth, Eugène Ysaye and Solo Violin competitions in Korea. Having recorded more than 20 CDs for the record companies “Sony Classical”, “Onyx”, “Cypres” and “Indesens”, Tatiana has received numerous awards: “Diapason d'or”, “Choc de Classica”, Prix Caecilia, Joker of Crescendo etc. During this season, Tatiana will perform in Paris, Berlin, Belo Horizonte, Bucharest, Madrid, Hong Kong. She is currently a professor at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and at the Center Superior des Arts Musikene in San Sebastián.
